I expect there are quite a few 'lurkers' on various lug lists.
Witness the hants list migration to remove lurkers (such as I)
from the 'voting' list so that a true quorum could achieved.
I am on at least three LUG lists at the mo but rarely manage to
get to many meets anywhere.
