We have had a lot of *fun* with this ourselves :)
If the lines have widely varying latencies then yes this is definitely a
problem, the audio sounds horrible. However, if the latencies are very
similar then the sound is perfect.
Out of our 4 lines, 2 of them have very low latency, and the other 2 are
not so good, so AAISP have allocated us an extra range of IPs that is
only routed over the 2 good lines. Similarly, we have setup our linux
router in our office to only route traffic from this subnet out over the
same 2 lines. Our asterisk server lives in this range.
Our main IP range for web browsing and office workstations is still
routed over all 4 lines to give us the maximum throughput.
So in short, yes you can run VOIP over bonded ADSL lines, as long as the
lines have closely matching speeds and latencies.
