While writing (in DIBOL) a flood warning scheme for a very large
water company over 25 years ago, we put in a message (triggered
after the user made the same mistake 10 times in a row) of the
form:
Please be nice to me, I'm only a machine.
The first computer I actually bought (Marinchip M9900),
basically had two MDEX operating system error messages:
