Hello folks.
A client of mine is mysteriously unable to access a particular website,
viz
www.newforestliving.co.uk. The browser hangs for quite a while and
then says it can't display the page.
There's seems to be nothing unusual about the site; it's hosts deny any
blocking on their part. I can see the site from my own computers.
My client's ISP (tesco.net) also deny any involvement.
Her broadband access was initially via a speedtouch modem. Changing to
a router made no difference. Knoppix via the same router can't see the
page either, so it's not a Windows issue.
But using old-fashioned dial-up via Force9 (obviously getting a
different local IP address) allowed the site to be accessed. And she
can see it via a proxy such as
www.megaproxy.com.
So where can the block be happening? What other tests can I do to find out?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
cheers
Chris
