Dapper is 2.6.15 [1]
Edgy is 2.6.17 [2]
Feisty is currently 2.6.20. [3]
I am running Feisty (7.04) on my main desktop and it only rarely breaks,
and usually that's due to me running the packaged nvidia blob and
needing the -generic kernel for SMP support.
